There is interest in exploring ways the Global Oceans model of rapidly and adaptively configuring and deploying at-sea operational platforms can support the development of emerging autonomous vehicle and control technologies, both aerial and underwater – by enabling robust test bed environments at sea, and subsequently in experimental and routine deployments for use in ocean science.
